Festival weddings with their cosy fire pits, dancing under the stars, and canvas cover in case of a great British down pour, are more popular than ever, and this shoot is packed with beautiful details for free spirited, party loving couples.
The styling for this tipi wedding shoot was all about bringing the joy, alongside a touch of glitz, to a farm in beautiful, rural Derbyshire!
Fresh out of the first UK lockdown, starved of weddings and the unparalleled uplift that they bring, this team of wedding professionals couldn't wait to get to recreating the type of wedding we dreamt of getting involved in again, with the help of the fantastic team at Tipis in the Peak.
The inclusion of a mermaid toned sequinned backdrop and glitter balls ramped up the fun festival vibe, as did the eye catching Glorious by Heidi shoulder duster earrings in pink and gold.
The unique modern bohemian bridal florals from Folky Dokey were the first time I'd seen a bouquet of dried flowers featuring the now firm favourites Bunny Tails and Palm Fan leaves, and was delighted to see how well the bespoke floral crown I'd created for the shoot, worked tonally with the florals.
Don't be afraid of going bold and introducing colour into your wedding day accessories, especially if your day is less formal and more fun!
Our beautiful brides are a real couple, engaged and planning their own wedding and were honest about how after experiencing the amazing styling the Pastel Glitztival team had pulled together for the shoot, they might be changing a few of their existing wedding plans to adopt some of the ideas for their own big day!
The glam details on show were even more noticeable in this rural countryside setting, with it's backdrop of rolling green hills making them appear all the more beautiful.
Throughout the styling for the day the team remained committed to an uplifting palette of sorbet pastels with a touch of sparkle.
All the elements from the stationery to the sweet table; accessories to the florals; the seating to the back drops, featured lilacs, sky blues, blush pinks and mint greens, keeping the overall look harmoniously fresh, fun and delicious to look at.
