When bride and make up artist Leigh, contacted me last summer with photos of her sleek, simple, contemporary wedding gown asking if I could design her a bespoke crown to compliment it, my heart leapt!
Being a make up artist specialising in weddings, Leigh already had a good idea of the kind of bridal look she wanted to create. (If this isn't you, and you have no idea of the kind of hair accessory you're looking for, don't worry, I know the questions to ask to get us both clear on the bridal accessory that will work to finish your wedding day look with a flourish).
Having shared photos of her dress with me, and some of the amazing veil that had been handmade for her by her Grandma, Leigh and I messaged one another to discuss what she had planned for her wedding day hair; where she would be fixing her veil; what other accessories she would be incorporating into her look; which of my existing bridal hair accessory designs she loved; what it was she loved about them i.e. the shape, tones and finishes; and finally, the budget that she wanted me to work to.
We then moved on to the final stages of the bespoke design process where I sketched out some bridal crown ideas for Leigh to comment on, sent photos of some of the components I'd sourced, and agreed what finishes to use for the crystals and metallic elements.
Once we'd agreed on the design I began work on her headpiece, touching base along the way to make sure she was happy with the way her accessory was taking shape.
If like Leigh you'd like to have your bridal hair accessory designed to specifically compliment your style, wedding dress and wedding day look, drop me a line and we can start your bespoke bridal accessory journey.
"Heidi, my crown was just beyond what I could've dreamed - everyone loved it and I felt amazing xxxxx' Leigh
