When bride Katie came to see me in my Cheshire studio to discuss designing her bridal headpiece, one thing was clear... this was not going to be a traditional bridal look! Katie is a bride with a confident, playful sense of style and a genuine love for colour—especially if that colour's pink!
Her Liverpool city centre wedding, planned around the energy of a good party and music vibes, called for vibrant accessories full of personality. We wanted to reflect the feel of her home city and create a relaxed, city chic bridal style.
At the heart of Katie's bespoke bridal look was a completely unique pink crystal wedding crown, designed and handcrafted by me. This crown was not just an accessory; it was meant to define her wedding day look!
A Pink Crystal Bridal Crown Designed For A Strong Sense of Personal Style
The main elements of Katie's wedding look were all bespoke designs by UK bridal specialists. From her pink wedding dress to her pink veil, and of course, her pink crystal bridal crown, every piece was crafted to perfection.
Her blush pink, puff-sleeved wedding dress was designed by Hampshire-based, slow fashion label Poesie by Julie. Their thoughtful design, natural fibres, and detailed craftsmanship created the perfect confident, feminine pink bridal outfit for Katie.
The veil, designed by Heather of Sash & Veil, added softness and movement. With its minimalist pink bow detailing, it balanced the playful energy of the crown perfectly.
This thoughtful combination of designers allowed every element of Katie's wedding day look to shine with vibrant, modern energy. The result was a cohesive, fashion-led bridal style that felt intentional and completely personal to Katie.
💖 The Crown Details 💖
The pink crystal wedding crown itself was handcrafted in my Cheshire studio using Indian pink and soft light rose crystals. It adorned a scalloped frame that felt playful and very Katie!
Set onto a gold wire base band, this design offered structure without rigidity. It was light enough to wear all day, yet impactful enough to stand out against the city centre backdrop of her Liverpool wedding.
A unique feature of this piece, and all of my full headpiece designs, is the light, twisted wire headband on which the design sat. Unlike the standard rigid metal headbands used by many designers, this softer, more flexible construction is designed for pure comfort. It makes a statement headpiece easy to wear from the ceremony all the way through to the last dance!
Katie wore her hair down in relaxed glossy waves, perfectly accessorised with her pink crystal crown and sheer pink veil. The result was an effortlessly modern bridal look! The sparkle and structure of her handcrafted headpiece brought energy to the fun, relaxed party vibe of the day.
